Feed:Food DIAAS-Adjusted Protein Ratio
Definition:
This metric evaluates the efficiency of DIAAS adjusted protein conversion in the production systems.
Note:
The ratio is calculated by dividing the weight of DIAAS-adjusted protein used in animal feed by the weight of DIAAS-adjusted protein produced by the system, using human digestibility parameters.
The color of the circle (representing the system) indicates the Feed:Food DIAAS-Adjusted Protein Ratio as follows:
<1
1-2
2-3
>3

Pie chart explanation:
Dark shade
Light shade
When DIAAS-adjusted protein produced (tons/year) is selected as the circle area, the dark shade of the pie chart represents the domestic share, while the light shade represents the imported share.
When Live weight (tons/day) is selected as the circle area, the dark shade of the pie chart represents the domestic share, while the light shade represents the exported share.
Notes:
- On a regional level, the import and export shares include trade within the region, consistent with FAO reports.
Notes:
- On a regional level, the import and export shares include trade within the region, consistent with FAO reports.
- The two Environmental Impact Indicators, GHG Emission Intensity and GHG Emissions per Animal, are based on FAO regional data rather than country-specific values.
